Matthew Sanchez, President & CEO / Co-Founder

Prior to co-founding VideoEggSM in November 2004, Matt was a managing member and chief operating officer of MediaLiquid, a production company founded by Sanchez, Kevin Sladek and Dave Lerman that focused on helping non-profits develop cost-effective public service announcements. He began his entrepreneurial career in high school when he founded a computer consulting group. Sanchez holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Yale University.

Lee Kirkpatrick, Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer

Before joining VideoEgg, Lee was COO for the Kodak Gallery (formerly Ofoto), the world's leading online photofinishing service with over 40 million members. Lee joined Ofoto as CFO in early 2000, was promoted to COO in 2003 and in 2006 assumed responsibility for Europe and Asia operations. Prior to working for Ofoto, Lee was the CFO for iOwn Inc., an online mortgage and real estate firm that was sold to Citibank and CFO for Hyperparallel, a data mining company that was sold to Yahoo. Lee spent nine years at Reuters America in senior roles that included corporate finance, divisional financial management and M&A. He holds an MBA from Columbia University and BS from the University of Southern California.

Troy Young, Chief Marketing Officer

Troy Young began his work in interactive media in 1992 when he worked on the launch and management of the first newspaper-owned online service in Canada. Prior to joining VideoEgg, Troy served as EVP, chief experience officer at Organic, one of the world's leading digital marketing agencies. Troy spent his first three years with the company building the Canada office. Prior to joining Organic, Troy was a co-founder and managing director of Vickers & Benson Direct, Interactive (now Arnold Worldwide). He is a graduate of the Queen's University Business School.

David Lerman, Chief Technology Officer & Co-Founder

While in college, David Lerman was a developer on MIT's learning management system, conducting research in cognitive neuroscience and applications of technology to evolutionary psychology. Lerman also co-founded MediaLiquid with Sanchez and Sladek prior to VideoEgg. David holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Psychology from Yale University.

Paps Shaikh, European Managing Director

Paps is a seasoned executive with deep new media experience in European markets. Prior to joining VideoEgg, he was part of the founding team at AdJug and served as VP of Advertising. AdJug was the first Advertising marketplace to launch in Europe bringing transparency and choice for buyers of digital advertising. Prior to AdJug, Paps has held a number of sales leadership positions including VP Business Development at Videojug.com, and Dir. Of European Sales at MIVA (formerly known as Espotting Media). Paps started his career at Emap where he started by selling print advertising and then moved on to digital offerings as early as 1997, departing as Group Advertising Manager with commercial responsibility across a portfolio of products.

Brian C. Birtwistle, Vice President, Audience Network

Brian has significant experience developing and growing online ventures. A veteran of Amazon.com, Brian spent over three years in business and product development before taking on the role as General Manager of Amazon’s software and game online stores. Brian was also CEO of WineAccess.com, where he accelerated membership growth and led the company’s rebirth into a leading shopping destination for wine buyers. Brian received his bachelor’s in politics from Princeton and an MBA from Harvard.

Joe Hurd, Vice President, International

Before joining VideoEgg, Joe was the VP BD and GM, International at Friendster and also spent 3 years building AOL’s business development teams in Japan and Australia. He first entered the world of technology and business practicing corporate law in London with Linklaters and in Palo Alto with Wilson, Sonsini. Joe received AB in East Asian Studies and Government and a JD from Harvard University and a master's in International Affairs from Columbia.

Michael Hess, Vice President, Sales

Michael Hess is a senior media executive who has led numerous national sales teams in both the traditional and digital arenas. Prior to joining VideoEgg as VP Sales for The EggNetwork, Michael served for 5 years as Associate Publisher for Rolling Stone magazine in New York. Prior to his return to the consumer magazine world, Michael launched one of the internet’s first rep firms in 1995, WebRep and later 2CAN Media, both based in San Francisco. Prior to his first run online, Michael ran Los Angeles and San Francisco advertising sales offices for Hearst magazines including Esquire, Redbook, and SmartMoney.

Stephen Miller, Vice President, Product

Stephen is a seasoned manager with over 12 years of experience in product design and development, building teams, and working with strategic partners. Most recently he was Vice President, Product at Cuts.com, an acclaimed online video editing service, that was purchased by Rifftrax. Before that, he led Yahoo!'s efforts to bring its services to the desktop and the development of the Yahoo! browser, Online Protection security suite, software distribution platform, and integration with key ISP partners such as AT&T and BT. Stephen also built and launched several new products with Excite@Home, including the company’s initial premium and tiered service offerings. Prior to that he enjoyed a few years of strategy consulting with internet and telecommunication clients as part of the San Francisco Consulting Group/KPMG and Arthur D. Little. Stephen holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley and a BA from Franklin and Marshall College.

Jack Yang, General Counsel

Jack has over fifteen years experience representing technology and internet companies in complex intellectual property, licensing, corporate and business matters. Prior to joining VideoEgg, Jack was Vice President and Senior Counsel for Visa U.S.A., Inc. and Assistant General Counsel and Vice President of Inktomi Corporation. Jack has also worked for the Silicon Valley Office of Weil, Gotshal & Manges as well as Sega of America, Inc. Jack received his JD from Santa Clara University, School of Law and a BS from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine.
